No, bidRhino.com is a property auction website, we are not a real estate agency or an auctioneer. 

bidRhino provides a range of online services to assist and enable users to promote, market and advertise their property for sale, via auction or via an agreed upon price, by themselves or with the help of a real estate agent.

bidRhino simply provides services to facilitate the sale and purchase of property by users of our website, we do not participate in the transaction between buyer and seller. We strongly recommend that all vendors and buyers consult a licensed conveyancer or lawyer before buying or selling a property.

Apart from the fact that it just made sense, bidRhino was conceived to address major inefficiencies and large gaps in the real estate industry such as:

Flexibility – we offer several ways for a property vendor and buyer to transact.  A vendor listing on bidRhino.com defines the auction, the reserve price, the terms of sale, the time of auction and the length of auction of a property. However, buyers can make an offer on a property before its scheduled auction begins (via the “buy it now” option) and buy for a vendor-determined-price, or participate in the live auction of a property and enjoy the exciting process of bidding.

Cost-Savings – we provide fixed fee services only. We do not charge commissions!  What you pay us is defined at the start of the process and does not vary according to the sale price you achieve for your property.  Pay for what you want and need and know your costs up front.

Up to Date - we make the currently out-dated real estate process more open and flexible.  bidRhino brings the real estate industry to you and the rest of the world! We use the technology available to enable users to transact like they do for most other things in life, online.  Unlike traditional property transactions, sales, leasing or auctions, bidRhino online auctions place no geographical or time limitations on your property’s auction or a buyer’s ability to participate in the property transaction.

All individuals that register on bidRhino.com are required to provide personal information to confirm their identity, including documentation such as a valid driver’s license or other forms of identification.

The team at bidRhino assesses this information before a vendor is able to post a property listing or a buyer is allowed to bid in an auction.

If we believe a user is not who they say they are we will advise the user that they will be removed from the site, unless they can validate and confirm their identity.

Property vendors have complete control over who is able to bid on their property at auction and they must approve all bidders prior to them being able to place a bid.

bidRhino requires vendors to provide proof of ownership of the property they intend to sell in the form of a vendor’s statement.

The bidRhino team checks that all properties have a vendor’s statement, which includes a title, prior to it going to live auction. 

If a Vendor cannot provide a vendor statement / property title, it will not be allowed to go to auction on bidRhino.com

This method simply accesses the personal contact information from your social media accounts - it does not allow us to post on your page without your approval.

If you choose to register via social media remember to check the inbox of the email address you use to login to your Facebook/Twitter to receive the password for your bidRhino account. 

Yes it is free to register as a user, you can then search, monitor, setup watch lists and notifications.

Finding a specific property is very simple. The quickest way is to enter the property’s ID into the ‘Quick Search’ box on our homepage, or if you dont have the property ID, enter as many details as you can in the quick search or Advanced search fields and then run the search which should then include the property you are looking for.

If you dont have a specific property you are looking for, but have your property requirements, fill in the quick search or advanced search fields and run the search to recieve a list of the available properties.

You can narrow down your property search by filling in all fields in our  ‘Advanced Search’ option to refine the list of available properties to just those that match your search criteria.

All current listings on bidRhino.com will show the status of the property to the left of the property’s photo, the last bid and the online ID of the last bidder. There are three possible statuses for properties listed:

• Property in the marketing phase with auction not commenced:  the property status will show the date that the property’s live auction will commence.
• Property whose auction has already commenced:  a count-down clock, indicating that the live auction has already begun, will appear in the listing showing the amount of time remaining for interested bidders to register and place a bid on that property.
• Property that has been passed in but remains open to offers:  if the status of the property states ‘passed in’, the property did not sell at auction but is still on the market and has not been removed from our site. In these cases, you can still make an offer on the property via the ‘Offer’ button on the property’s listing page or contact the vendor of the property directly. 

If a property has been sold, this will be indicated by a ‘Sold’ banner across the property’s photo. Sold properties remain on the site for 5 days before being removed.

To contact the owner, landlord, managing agent or selling agent of a property simply click the ‘Contact Vendor’ button in the property’s listing, this will send them a message which they can reply to or act on.

If the vendor has set ‘Open for Inspection’ times, these will be available on the property’s listing page. 

If no times are shown or these times do not suit you, simply click the ‘Contact Vendor’ button on the property’s listing to arrange an inspection time and date directly with the property vendor that suits you both.

To bid on a property, you need to be a registered member of bidRhino.com, which involves entering basic, personal identification details (and those of your conveyancer to streamline the vetting process).

When you have successfully registered to bid on a property and been approved by the vendor to bid, you (and your conveyancer if listed) are automatically emailed a contract of sale and a vendor statement of the property to review.

If you are the successful bidder, you and your conveyancer will be notified via email/SMS and must complete the transaction as per the vendor’s terms and conditions, which you are required to agree to and accept when registering for a specific property.

Any financial transactions or signing of contracts are then to be organised and completed directly between you and the vendor of the property or your respective representatives (usually your lawyers/conveyancers) as per the normal process in property transactions.

You can make offers direct to the Agent of a property at any time via the offer button or Buy Now.

If this is an auction listing, you can also make an offer pre-auction, by clicking the ‘Offer’ button in any of the property listings and make an offer.

This offer will then be immediately sent to the Managing Agent who can then accept or decline it. You will then be notified if your offer has either been accepted or rejected via SMS/Email, depending on your notification settings. 

We highly recommend that you involve your conveyancer or lawyer when buying or selling property to ensure transactions are completed efficiently, effectively and in compliance with the law in your State.

When registering with bidRhino.com you must accept our terms and conditions that specifically state that you cannot retract a bid except in exceptional circumstances, and only by agreement with the Agent, Vendor or their representative (e.g. real estate agent or lawyer).

bidRhino is unable to delete or remove any of your bids, but we make the process of making a bid at least a two-click process, which makes it very difficult to place a bid unless you actually intend to.

No, you cannot retract a bid once you have placed it at a live auction on bidRhino.com. When registering with bidRhino.com you must accept our terms and conditions, which specifically state that if you purchase a property or are the highest bidder on a listed property, you agree to complete the transaction with the vendor, unless law prohibits the transaction.

When you make a bid on a property in a live auction, a pop-up box will appear on your screen asking you to confirm the bid by clicking ‘Yes’ or cancelling the bid by clicking ‘No’, in which case your bid will not be submitted.  The bidding process on bidRhino does, and will always require, two clicks to avoid accidental bids.

We recommend the below preparations for your property prior to listing it for sale.

• Touch up or re-paint the property to give it the best chance to appeal to a broad buyer pool.
• Fix those little things that you have been meaning to repair, replace or have ‘learned to live with’ (but that      
  potential buyers may see as an issue).
• Tidy up the garden and lawns surrounding your property.
• Clean and de-clutter your property to allow buyers to be able to picture themselves living or renting there when
  viewing your property on bidRhino.com.

then prepare to list

• Define your auction terms, property settlement timeframe, contract of sale terms and reserve price for the
  property.
• Take flattering, professional-quality photos and videos of your property.
• Engage a conveyancer or lawyer to prepare the vendor’s statement and contract of sale for your property.
• Write a detailed, thorough description of your property.

• And finally, list the property for auction on bidRhino.com.

As an Agent or Developer with an account, all your properties are listed on bidRhino from the time we approve it (within 48 hours of you posting) and will remain for as long as you require, you can take it offline or ask us to.

If we have an automated xml feed with your listings the property status will automatically be updated from your system to ensure we maintain the same status as you.

If a bidRhino user has made an offer on your property or a clicked buy now, places a bid during an online auction, you will be notified via SMS/Email depending on your notification settings.

For this reason it is vitally important that you ensure that you have configured your Communication and Notification settings correctly so that you receive all communication regarding your property efficiently via your preferred method. You can manage and tailor your alerts from bidRhino via selecting the ‘Manage Your Account’ option once logged in to your account. You can configure your preferred notification method by clicking on ‘My Communications and Notifications’ in the list on the right side of the screen. Alternatively you can access your bidRhino alerts via clicking on the black ‘My Account’ tab at the top of our homepage (Next to the ‘Log Out’ option) and selecting ‘My Notifications’. 

As an Agent or Developer partner, if there is an issue with your property listing you will be notified within 48 hours by the bidRhino team.

bidRhino check all properties posted to the site to confirm that there is no offensive content and to validate that the details of the property match the vendor’s statement.  If after 48 hours your property still isn’t listed on bidRhino.com and the bidRhino team has not notified you of any issues with your listing, contact your bidRhino sales manager or contact us at support@bidRhino.com
